Frequently Asked Questions

How do you keep the dust from getting all over my house?

If there is to be a lot of dust, we put up plastic walls around where we are working to keep the dust contained within the walls. If there is just going to be a minimal amount, we use a vacuum while we are sanding to catch all of the dust.

How permanent is the glue you use to fix chips or breaks?

We use a poly ester adhesive that is permanent and will not deteriorate over time.

How often does my granite need to be sealed?

Once every 2 to 3 years

What should I clean my granite with?

We always recommend soapy water. Dish soap and water in a spray bottle does just fine.

Will putting a pan from the oven damage my granite?

You can put a pan directly on to your granite but it has to be granite. Any high heat will damage engineered stone such as silestone or cambria. It will discolor your stone and damage the resin holding the stone together. Any naturally occurring stone you can put a significant amount of heat to before causing damage, a pot won’t hurt the stone.
